Shake Shack’s first drive-thru
Our design for the inaugural Shake Shack drive-thru isn’t a coming-of-age story – it’s a next generation story. Located in Orlando, Florida, the global brand that started out as a food stand in New York’s Madison Square Park has entered the fast-casual fast lane.
Creative design elements connect Shake Shack to its loyal following and welcomes new guests into the brand experience. Warm, elevated lighting combined with a neutral color palette creates an inviting mood for guests choosing to sit-in while a leafy, outdoor patio with relaxed seating provides a respite spot for those who prefer to dine al fresco.
Choice, convenience and ease of movement are experiential focal points; dynamic drive-thru journey mapping and strategic points of engagement pave the way for user-focused design. Digital menu boards are easily accessible and easy to use, a two-lane ordering system works to reduce queues (frozen custard flavor dependant) and a pick-up window provides additional on-the-go options. A design system that truly puts customer experience in the driving seat.
