Introducing the newly refurbished Thiptara restaurant, located within the Palace Hotel in Downtown Dubai. We were appointed by our client Emaar, to reimagine a new look for the refurbishment of this popular destination restaurant.
Inspired by the floating markets of Thailand, the scheme is a curated layering of traditional architectural details and a blend of authentic yet luxurious materiality.
From the moment of entry at the arrival corridor leading towards the hostess station, there is a sense of being transported to a world of warmth, intimacy and hospitality, setting a scene for what lies ahead.
The bar area is organic in form and playful in arrangement; there is a tactile charm to the environment that allows the guest to mingle in an intimate setting.
Moving through to the restaurant area, a rich harmony of seating options set within a stunning backdrop of architecture, which is brought to life by decorative and concealed lighting, to enhance drama and depth.
Thiptara translates to “magic at the water” in Thai, and the outdoor floating terrace certainly lives up to this name; an immersive dining experience set to the mesmerizing backdrop of the Dubai fountains.
